Flagship Butterfly Razor

This zero waste razor is completely plastic-free and designed for all genders and shaving needs. It delivers a close and accurate shave, and is guaranteed not to rust. Comes with a pack of 10 reusable razor blades and a hemp storage bag. Used blades can be dropped off with Summit Sustainable Goods for their blade take-back program!

How to shave with the razor:

• Wet skin/hair with warm water.  
• Lather shaving soap onto clean skin.
• Hold the blade at a 30 degree angle and let the weight of the handle do all the work.  Do NOT pull the razor across your skin like you would with a plastic disposable razor. This can create damage to the skin. 
• Use short strokes, about 2 inches long, especially when you first switch to using a safety razor.  
• We recommend using a balm or lotion following shaving to nourish and moisturize skin.

 

How to replace the blade:

• Twist the bottom of the shaver handle to open the wings of the blade holder.
• Place a blade (be careful - it's sharp!) on the platform and twist the bottom in the opposite direction to tighten the blade holder wings over the blade. 
• You're all set to go!

How to keep your razor in tip-top shape:

• After each use, rinse the soap/ hair/gunk from the blade.
• Shake your razor to dry it well. Please note that using a towel to dry will make your blades duller. 
• Store your razor in a dry spot to increase the life of your blades. 
• If you notice any corrosion, rub that spot vigorously with a terry cloth towel, or a small piece of emery cloth.

 

When your blades are dull and used, please reach out to us at Summit Sustainable Goods and we will return them to Albatross Designs for their Take-Back program.
