Alpaca Dryer Balls

Alpaca dryer balls are you new favorite laundry item! Made with alpaca wool, these felted hypoallergenic balls shorten your machine drying time and replace single-use and contaminant-heavy dryer sheets. You can even add drops of your favorite essential oils to them for a scent enhancer. We recommend using three to five dryer balls for regular loads of laundry.

Simply throw one to five dryer balls (we recommend at least three) into your dryer with your wet clothing and machine dry as normal. If you prefer to add scents, add a few drops of your favorite essential oils to the dryer balls before placing them in the dryer. Your dryer balls will absorb moisture and increase airflow in your dryer, reducing drying time.

To use your dryer balls for the first time, run them through a drying cycle with wet towels. They may become "hairy" - you may trim off the fuzzy hair with a pair of scissors if desired. Over time, your dryer balls may develop pills. This is normal! You can either shave them off or leave them alone. If cleaning is needed, run the dryer ball under hot water, add a drop of dish soap, and rotate the dryer ball between your palms until it lathers up. To finish, rinse in warm water, then cold water.

Depending on stock, your dryer balls will be white alpaca or brown alpaca. Please specify in notes if you would prefer one particular color, and we will do our best to accomodate!
